We were given the opportunity to redesign, reinvent and re-establish Bib and Tucker as one of the finest super premium bourbons. Our objective was to utilize the heritage behind the Bib and Tucker brand, to create a symbolic display that was easy for consumers to shop. The target consumer is 25-54, mostly male, however, the bourbon category has gained popularity among all consumers, especially women.
By developing a piece where each bottle has its own stanchion when the product sold off the retailer immediately wanted to replace it which was part of the strategic thinking. The creative thinking was to develop a barrel type display that made the consumer feel as if the product was bottled right from the barrel. Manufactured from a variety of metals and woods, while capturing the characteristics of spirits distillation proved to be aesthetically pleasing in the retail environment. Even though Bib and Tucker had been in the marketplace for some time they never really had an iconic display piece that resonated with consumers. This 18-bottle display was sold into stores at a record pace for stores reported a remarkable increase in sales and were concerned the product would be out of stock. An actual store in New Jersey that only had this display in store sold 36 cases in one weekend! This display will be the focal point of the Bib and Tucker merchandising portfolio for years to come.
